Human Resources Coordinator
Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm
Reporting to: HR Manager
Requirements:
· Provide high quality advice and service to members on a day-to-day basis
· Address performance issues/absenteeism with non-members
· Assist HR Manager with conducting investigation related to workplace harassment, violence, discrimination, in a timely manner.
· Provide support and consultation regarding legal items
· Provide support by serving as the first point of contact for members and managing or escalating issues to the HR Manager as needed
· Manage the talent acquisition process: job postings, interviewing and hiring process including the preparation and scheduling of interviews, and profile creation
· Ensure compliance with respective jurisdictions, legislative requirements
· Tracking, monitoring, and support of key HR systems: onboarding, training, performance reviews, vacations, health and safety etc.
· Manage any work-related claims including WSIB, including managing all MOLTSD claims
· Assist Membership Services with projects and member engagement programs
· Self-motivated with the ability to identify and resolve problems independently
Qualifications:
- Completion of Post-secondary degree or certification program in Human Resources
- 3+ years of verifiable HR experience
- Able to work in person within our office building Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm
- Knowledge of Canadian and Provincial employment/labour laws.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including TEAMS
- Strong communication skills needed to work with people in the office and in the field
- Strong analytical skills needed to trouble shoot and solve problems
- Deadline-oriented, highly organized self-starter
- Flexible outlook toward task management
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Strong time and project management skills
Job Type: Full-time
