Toyotetsu Canada Inc. (TTCA) is a Tier 1 Automotive Parts Supplier to Toyota Manufacturing Facilities located in the heart of Norfolk County (Simcoe, ON). We utilize state of the art technology to ensure our automotive parts are assembled with a high degree of quality.
Job Summary
As a member of the HR Department, the HR Specialist is responsible for supporting the planning, developing and implementation of the employee relation strategies as they relate to policies, programs, and procedures in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role will provide guidance to team members, supervisors, and managers on the interpretation of HR policies and procedures. This role supports the day-to-day administration from on boarding to off boarding and everything in between.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Act as a resource for team members and leadership on employee relation issues.
- Conduct workplace fact finding meetings and investigations (including workplace violence, and harassment) in a timely, discrete and professional manner.
- Draft and edit reports, recommend resolutions, and communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Ensure all matters are fully researched, responses are prepared and issued within prescribed timelines.
- Mediate/conflict resolution to employee/employer issues and facilitate mutually agreeable outcomes.
- Provide coaching, consultation, and advice to leadership on interpreting policies and procedures.
- Support and administer disciplinary processes as it relates to attendance and performance.
- Monitor and support the accommodation process as it relates to ESA and Human Rights.
- Research and provide guidance related to compliance with updates to Employee Standard Act, Canada Labour Code, and Human Rights.
- All other relevant duties as assigned

- Workplace Investigation Training an asset
- Proven ability to think systematically and strategically
- Effective leadership attributes to motivate and develop relationships
- Strong ability to function independently and as a member of a team dealing with multiple priorities in a complex environment.
Education/Experience Desired:
- University degree, diploma or graduate certificate in related field (Human Resources, Human Resource Management or Labour Relations). CHRP designation is an asset.
- Minimum of three years of demonstrated work experience, preferably in areas of labour relations, conflict resolution, and HR processes and policies.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset.
Pay will be based on experience and qualifications.
