Job Description
Many of our patients are dealing with chronic pain, such as gynecological issues and/or invisible illness. What we offer is a whole-body approach using a variety of different treatment options. Often a patient will come into the centre with an issue that needs some personalized care. Within the centre, our practitioners work individually, but aim to provide the patient with a plan that might incorporate several treatment options. Having a whole team of practitioners intent on providing relief and quality of life is what keeps our patients invested in our centre. Moreover, our focus on both physical and mental health aspects are key in helping patients live their day-to-day.
At this juncture we are happy to say that practitioners are filling their schedules rapidly. Due to the high demand of patients requiring mental health support, and the mission to provide services without long wait times, we are building out a whole team of therapists. And as Femade’s brick and mortar location has reached capacity for inhouse therapy we are now dedicated to building out a virtual team of therapists who are just as involved in the multidisciplinary approach, but may reside anywhere in Ontario. This allows you to welcome patients at a brick and mortar near you, or you can remain solely virtual for our patients.
JOB TYPE:
Part time or Full time - Remote
EXPERIENCE:
Established practitioners and new graduates welcome. Psychotherapists (qualifying) are welcome as long as you have a supervisor onboard.
Registered Social Worker, Registered Psychotherapist (at this time we are not hiring additional Occupational Therapists)
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Certified and in good standing with your regulatory board.
- A passion for working with those who are on a journey.
- Experience working with (or a passion to start working with) patients who are on a chronic pain / chronic illness journey
- Eager to work in a multidisciplinary setting where patients can be referred to colleagues internally.
- Looking for individuals who see the value in providing interdisciplinary care, and want to be a part of a cohesive team.
