Accounting Coordinator
JOB PURPOSE
The Accounting Coordinator is responsible for overseeing, coordinating and administering the financial records, systems and processes of the company, including accounting, bookkeeping, payroll and benefits, record keeping, banking, insurance and all related financial and office administration.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
- College diploma in business/financial services
- Working towards an accounting designation would be an asset
- Sound understanding of accounting principles
- 1 to 2 years of bookkeeping, accounting, budgeting, and reporting experience preferred
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to implement solutions quickly and accurately
- Technology savvy
- Strong Excel and Microsoft suite skills
- Knowledge of SharePoint and Dynamics 365 would be an asset
- Attention to detail, focus on deliverables and ability to provide timely analysis
- Strong sense of accountability - takes ownership of tasks and overall team objectives
- Active listener with effective written and verbal communication skills
- Confident, humble, and adaptable with the ability to express ideas and workable solutions clearly
- Highly organised, quick learner, flexible and motivated
General Responsibilities:
- Ensures that strong accounting principles are in place and maintained on an ongoing basis
- Establish and implement written policies and procedures with ongoing continuous improvements
- Analyse and maintain accurate records in company accounting and ERP system.
- Oversee the collection and analysis of financial data
- Oversee the preparation of regular financial reports
- Advises senior management
- Special projects and additional tasks as required
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
