We are a dynamic company that is expanding throughout the greater Victoria area. We are looking for compassionate and passionate HEALTH CARE ASSISTANTS/PERSONAL SUPPORT WORKERS to join our team full-time or part-time!
Our medication centered interventions provide our clients with the support and care they rely on to remain living in the community. We offer you the opportunity to grow with us and apply your knowledge and skills in a community based program.
JOB SCOPE
- Visiting patients throughout the day (3pm-10pm) in the community
- Administering medications (orally, creams, patches)
- Performing patient specific assessments
- Interpreting assessment data to adjust medications accordingly
- Acting in acute situations according to pre-set company protocols
- Noting changes in behaviour for mental health patients
- Documentation of all interventions and assessment data
- Submitting daily reports to Nursing Coordinator and pharmacy
- Following up with Nursing Coordinator regarding significant assessment data
- Actively participating in patients’ healthcare outcomes
- Performs other related duties as required
- NO assistance with personal care or ADL’s
- NO night shifts

We are looking for Health Care Assistants/Personal Support Workers with the following qualities:

- Enthusiasm to contribute positively in the community in a healthcare setting
Position Requirements
- BC Driver's License
- Graduate from a Health Care Assistant program and membership with the BC Care Aide and Community Health Worker Registry or equivalent combination of education or experience.
- Criminal Record Check will be requested upon successful offer
- First Aid/CPR Certificate
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 24 per week
Salary: $25.00 per hour
