Rate of Pay: $23.66 - $27.83 per hour
Reporting to the Coordinator BSC, the Clerk Typist provides administrative and clerical support to BSC staff and the consultants of the Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP) and Assessment Services.
Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
- One year post-secondary office administration program or equivalent combination of education and experience is mandatory
- Experience working in a computerized, medical office environment
Skills/Abilities:
- Proficiency in data entry and with Microsoft Office Word and Excel
- Excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must have excellent listening and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with a variety of clients and interprofessional colleagues
- Ability to work independently and as an effective member of a team
- Demonstrated regular attendance at work
Assets:
- Knowledge and/or use of Employee and Family Assistance Program is preferred
- Working knowledge of medical terminology and spelling expertise is preferred
- Proficiency with Meditech and StaffRight scheduling considered an asset
- Experience with invoice and billing would be considered an asset
CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT
- This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check (CRJMC) where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.
