Job Description
Req Id: 411847
At Bell, we do more than build world-class networks, develop innovative services and create original multiplatform media content - we advance how Canadians connect with each other and the world.
If you’re ready to bring game-changing ideas to life and join a community that values professional growth and employee wellness, we want you on the Bell team.
Our Bell Business Markets team enables the digital transformation of businesses and governments nationwide through solutions in areas including Internet and private networks, voice and unified communications, contact centre, security, Internet of Things, data centre and cloud. We’re proud to be Canada’s leading provider of broadband network and communication services for businesses and governments.
The Content Strategy team at Bell Business Markets (BBM) plans, approves, and helps execute communications for medium and large enterprises across Canada, working in sync with our marketing/take to market partners. The team is currently seeking a high-energy team player and experienced storyteller who understands how to build a B2B story, can engage directly with our customers, write a solid agency brief (or do the writing themselves) and can review material to make sure it hits the mark. Being highly organized and being (calmly) able to balance a number of projects will be key.
Engage with the sales, customer service, solutions marketing, social media, legal, brand, and marketing technology functions at BBM, in order to discover, track, execute, publish, promote and measure customer stories – both for internal and external audiences;- Maintain and grow the funnel of potential stories, with special attention to upcoming needs in the form of: events, verticals, regions, partner requirements and campaigns;
- Work with customers to understand their story, help convince them to let us tell it, coordinate and execute on interviews (online and/or in-person) and arrange approvals;
- Develop interview questions and (when necessary) propose plans for video shoots;
- Brief and manage agency partners and Bell Media as needed;
- Produce (and help agencies produce) content that aligns to marketing plans and business objectives;
- Research – you will stay on-trend with content creation and publication standards, as well as customer advocacy best practices;
- Continually raise the bar on development of compelling, data-driven storytelling with a customer focus;
- Part of each role on the Content Marketing team involves supporting other members of the team (to help with busy periods, vacations/illness and etc.). This may involve writing, peer editing, participation in strategy discussion or project coordination.
Experience managing, telling, promoting and tracking customer stories is vita;- You have experience/training in Content Marketing, Communications, Journalism and/or Editorial roles – and you are looking to expand and grow your marketing knowledge;
- You have B2B experience from working in a corporate environment, PR company or marketing agency; experience in technology, IoT or telecommunications will be a strong asset;
- You possess strong project management skills and have experience working on multiple projects simultaneously. Relationship-building (with customers, agencies and internal stakeholders) is key;
- You are detail-oriented, yet able to prioritize and manage change in a high-pressure environment;
- You can interview: Develop questions, keep subjects comfortable, follow up unexpected storylines (instead of just sticking to the script questions) and get great quotations;
- You can write: Articles, video scripts, interview notes and story summaries;
- You can edit: Briefs, copy direction, style and proofing (long form, short form, infographics, etc.);
- Experience developing videos is a plus – you don’t have to be a cinematographer, but being able to see how a 15-minute interview could be cut down to make an amazing 2-minute video is a bonus;
- A strong desire to learn: about Bell, BBM, our products, our customers, content marketing and customer advocacy;
- Agency management experience is an asset;
- Candidates should have a strong customer focus, be a team player, innovative and self-motivated;
- Ability to work autonomously and within a team setting.
