About the Role
Reporting to the Senior HR Manager, the Administrator, Human Resources (HR) will be a member of the Brookfield Renewable Business Services Group. The incumbent will be responsible for processing transactions in our Human Resources Information System (HRIS) system and for providing general HR support to our employees across North America. This is an opportunity for an individual with strong attention to detail and interpersonal skills to join a dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities
- Process HRIS transactions (including onboarding, offboarding, leaves of absence, contract extensions and miscellaneous employee changes) and communicate processes and ensuring consistency, as required, between groups.
- Maintain HR employee data in various systems including the HRIS system.
- Ensures data integrity and accuracy and investigates and resolves data integrity issues.
- Participate in the effective delivery of the new hire onboarding process.
- Assist in the preparation of employee letters.
- Act as a contributor on various HR and Payroll projects and work closely with members of the HR and Payroll team in process improvement activities.
- Manage the HR shared inbox and act as a first point of contact for general employee inquiries.
- Responsible for ensuring that employee files are SOX compliant and participate in the audit of the HR files.
- Work closely with the HR Managers to administer the annual merit increase cycle and bonus calculation processes.
- Support the HR Managers with the Performance Review process, including year-end reviews and development plans.
- Coordinate the pre-employment due diligence process with HireRight for criminal checks, reference checks and education verifications.
- Produce reports out of the HRIS system.
- Assist with the preparation and distribution of internal communications.
- Other duties as required.
Knowledge and Experience Required
- Strong organizational skills coupled with the ability to multi-task and prioritize;
- Ensures data integrity and accuracy and investigates and resolves data integrity issues;
- Service-oriented and capable of communicating with employees of all levels;
- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail;
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment and to adapt quickly to changing priorities;
- High level of integrity, ethics and professionalism; must be able to handle all confidential information with discretion and sensitivity;
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written) in English and French
- Minimum two (2) years’ experience working within a Human Resources group;
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or other related field;
- Knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply HR procedures, policies and processes;
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Outlook, Word and Excel;
- Experience working with ERP/HRIS systems.
Note: Offices continue to be central to collaboration and Brookfield’s identity. This position requires the employee to be on-site for a minimum of 3 days to perform most effectively. We will reassess the approach on a as needed basis.
