Project Coordinator, Skilled Trades
The Project Coordinator, Skilled Trades, is responsible for the Project and Event Coordination, Registration and Scheduling, Marketing and Social Media support for C2R2 approved micro-credentials within the Marshall School of Skilled Trades and Apprenticeship. This includes: being the lead liaison for all internal and external stakeholders; coordinating all event volunteers and guests; marketing and social media requests in consultation with marketing team, including website creation, digital and print assets and social media campaigns; organization and booking of team meetings; and coordination of the calendar of events to be shared with all internal and external stakeholders.
This position will provide coordination for approved micro-credential projects within the Marshall School of Skilled Trades and Apprenticeship from August 2023 to March 2024. The incumbent should have a strong knowledge of event planning and advanced administrative skills.
Responsibilities:
The duties of this position include, but are not limited to:
Project and Event Coordination
- Project lead in the coordination of C2R2 approved micro-credentials within the Marshall School of Skilled Trades and Apprenticeship
- Coordination of stakeholder and community events to celebrate project
- Reporting on project timelines, budget and deliverables to Program Manager and Associate Deans
Registration and Scheduling
- Coordinating all registration and scheduling with external partners, in collaboration with internal departments
- Troubleshoot registration issues and act as liaison between partners and Mohawk
- Print and post schedules for cohorts and track intakes and registration numbers for Program Manager and Associate Deans for project reporting
Marketing and Social Media Support
- Organization and creation of C2R2 registration, program and promotional and presentation materials for various stakeholders and community members
- Team lead for website design and elements required with marketing team
- Team lead for all social media campaigns in consultation with marketing
Community Liaison and Administrative Support
- The first point of contact for Skilled Trades micro-credential questions and requests
- Coordination of skilled trades micro-credentials calendars of events
- Manages phone, email and in person inquiries from internal and external stakeholders related to skilled trades micro-credentials
- Track expenses and receipts for project reimbursement
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have:
- Minimum 2-year diploma in Office Administration, Business, or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience working within project teams
- Demonstrated Office and Project Coordination experience
- Event planning experience is an asset
- Demonstrated commitment and understanding of human rights, equity, diversity and inclusion with the ability to communicate and work effectively with diverse groups of students, employees and the community.
