Description
The Project Manager is responsible for facilitating the full post production process, by supervising workflow, communicating updates between departments, managing quality control while building, overseeing and maintaining both the internal and external client relationships and expectations on an ongoing basis.
Responsibilities:
- Thorough understanding of the full post production process with an emphasis on colour grading, online editing/packaging and VFX workflows for long form content
- Review client materials (scripts, storyboards, schedule) with Post-Production Manager in order to generate quotes and schedules
- Oversee client correspondence and act as primary liaison with all client side parties
- Develop, implement, and oversee project plans and delivery schedules, ensuring both internal and client deadlines are met
- Anticipate artist and production bottlenecks before they happen and works with Executive Producer to ensure creative decisions can be completed within budget and on schedule
- Communicate with producers, coordinators, creative and technical leads regarding directives and production requirements of specific projects
- Monitor and communicate changes, progress updates, overages and schedule changes to the client
Requirements:
- Experience working as a Producer, ideally in long-form post production
- Ability to handle a fast paced environment supervising multiple projects in various points of production (from development through delivery)
- Strong attention to detail, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong time-management skills, the ability to prioritize workload combined with a sense of urgency, work well under pressure and meet multiple critical deadlines daily
- Thorough understanding of post-production broadcast deliverables to ensure proper post finishing workflows and smooth master deliveries
- Must have strong planning and organizational skills; be confident and enthusiastic when communicating in person and/or over the phone; and enjoys working in a fast-paced creative team environment
- Must have exceptional people skills and communication skills (both written and verbal), as well as active listening skills
- Technical proficiency in Mac Operating systems and MS Office (specifically Excel)
- Eagerness and willingness to learn proprietary studio tools quickly and effectively
- 2D, 3D and/or on-set production experience is an asset
