Job Description
The Front-Desk / Reception Student Worker works in conjunction with the Campus Operations Manager, Faculty, and staff to make sure the needs of the student body are met, by overseeing and operating the front- desk accordingly. This position will give official support for the general, regular administrative, utilitarian, and managerial tasks.

The Employee is expected to work during regular business hours. Occasional overtime may be required as well.
LOCATION:
Alexander College, Burnaby Campus
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Enrolled at Alexander College
- Must be a full-time student at Alexander College (taking a minimum of 3 courses)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of intensely related involvement with a regulatory or client assistance capability
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Capacity to work effectively in a multi-social atmosphere. This is to ensure there is good relationships between all the staff for maximum output from everyone.
- Ready to adequately deal with classified and restrictive data. Confidentiality is very important in this specific space to ensure clients and staff retain their peace of mind in case one is handling confidential information.
- Correspondence – ready to adequately impart in an expert, strategic, sympathetic, careful way of solving an urgent issue at hand.
- Meticulous – Proven exactness and meticulousness.
- Autonomous work – ready to work freely with restricted management and prepared to self-inspire. The candidate should be self-driven and able to work under minimal supervision.
- Relationship Management – ready to give an undeniable degree of intelligent support to others, building connections and tending to recognize necessities.
- Results Orientation – demonstrated capacity to set and surpass set up targets. This is to ensure goals set by the student affairs association are met within the specific timeline.
- Frameworks and Software -have adequate skills in the use of Microsoft word and other related Software. To ensure there is efficient data recording and storage.
- Group Orientation and Interpersonal – profoundly energetic cooperative person with the capacity to create and keep up with community associations at all levels within and outside of the association.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Give an expert, supportive, inviting environment and an uplifting outlook for the workforce, staff, understudies, families, guests, and the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs.
- Give inclusion to the front work area, including noting telephones send and get faxes, messages for the benefit of the staff.
- Keep up with the coursebook program for new students without a monetary guide.
- Get and measure division administrative work.
- Help with projects as required (for example, plan materials for dispersion, make bookkeeping pages, occasion set-up, and so forth)
- Help with the appearance, acceptance and direction, meetings for new understudies where suitable.
- Help and exhort understudies by and large or prompt them where to get further assistance.
- Keep up with office work. Should be able to work under pressure.
- Get tasks done across grounds to convey documents and materials.
- Offer good support through informed and proficient engagement.
- Perform different obligations as relegated.
