RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC
The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).

General Duties
We are looking for a curious and enthusiastic person willing to be initiated to all phases of research including literature reviews, protocol/grant writing, ethic submission, data collection (interviews / surveys / deliberative consultation), analysis, and article writing.

Education / Experience
Education: Diploma of College Studies (DEC)
Field of Study: Medicine or related field
Work Experience: None required

Other Requirements:
- Excellent competencies in oral and written communication, in French and in English,
- Autonomy (with minimum supervision after appropriate training), initiative, creativity, curiosity,
- Team player,
- Detail-oriented, resourceful, problem-solving skills, multitasking ability and organized,
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with a high level of tact, diplomacy, professionalism, and a demonstrated ability to build and maintain appropriate rapport and constructive and effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
The following are assets:
- Prior experience in project coordination and management,
- Prior experience in ethics submission,
- Prior experience in scientific writing (peer-review publications and grant applications),
- Expertise in quantitative methods, data analysis and statistics, including provincial health administrative databases analysis, intervention evaluation, causal inference methods, statistical software programs (R and SAS),
- Expertise and experience in qualitative research applied to health service research or related field,
- Proficient at using MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Forms, Teams, etc.), and reference management software,
- Expertise in mixed-methods research, participatory approach, and qualitative research,
- Advanced knowledge of equity-related literature, including social determinants of health, intersectionality, and anti-racism.
Additional information
Status: Temporary Occasional, 2 hours per week
Pay Scale: $18.29-$27.43 per hour, commensurate with education & work experience
Work Shift: Flexible
Work Site: Remote, occasionally at the Montreal General Hospital
