Job Description
The Sales Representative role, reporting to the COO or their delegate, is primarily focused on Construction Sales. The individual in this position is responsible for acquiring, expanding, and maintaining the sales/rental of Cleantek Industries equipment within the construction industry. The main objective is to increase company revenue by generating and growing sales from both new and existing customers.
The ideal candidate for this role should possess the ability to effectively engage with customers in diverse settings, whether it be at the jobsite or in the corporate office. They should be comfortable in both environments, as building relationships and providing expert advice to customers is a key aspect of the position. Additionally, the candidate will be tasked with identifying new opportunities and customers, establishing working relationships, and delivering presentations that highlight the company's technology and services.
Negotiating terms with clients and successfully closing sales are crucial components of this role. The Sales Representative should be driven and motivated to exceed the company's sales targets. By utilizing their expertise and skills, they will contribute to the overall growth and success of Cleantek Industries in the construction industry.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Identify and prospect potential customers within the construction industry who would benefit from Cleantek Industry's Lighting and/or Security solutions pointing out our ESG impact.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to promote repeat sales and customer loyalty.
- Conduct thorough research and analysis of the construction industry to identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
- Effectively communicate the features, benefits, and ESG impact of our products to potential customers through presentations, product demonstrations, and proposals.
- Collaborate with the technical team to understand the technical aspects of the Lighting and Security solutions and provide accurate and comprehensive information to customers.
- Develop and implement sales strategies, including pricing, promotions, and discounts, to maximize sales and profitability.
- Negotiate contracts and terms of sales agreements with customers, ensuring mutual satisfaction and adherence to the Company’s policies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions, sales activities, and sales forecasts using CRM software.
- Continuously update knowledge on company products, industry trends, and ESG practices to effectively position the products in the market.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as marketing, product development, and customer support, to address customer needs, enhance product offerings, and resolve any issues or concerns raised by customers.
- Develop and maintain relationships within assigned accounts; improve client utilization and product/service adoption rates
- Provide in-person demonstrations of the company’s various product lines.
- Investigate and troubleshoot customer needs
- Participate in sales presentations that highlight key benefits, ROI, and value of the company’s products/services. Sales events and presentation may occur during the work week, on weekends and/or evenings as required by the client.
- Promote and maintain the organization’s brand image and identity within construction industry
- Comply with standards and procedures of all Cleantek policies and procedures including the Health & Safety program
- Perform other duties as required.

Education, Training, and Experience
- Proven B2B sales track record.
- Experience in selling within the Construction industry or related fields.
- A minimum of 2-5 years of relevant sales experience is typically sought for this role.
- Familiarity with ESG principles.
- Strong customer relationship management skills.
- Achievement of sales targets and quotas.
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field preferred.
- Relevant coursework in sales or marketing advantageous.
- Sales techniques, negotiation skills, and relationship building.
- Familiarity with CRM software.
- Product knowledge of Lighting and Security solutions used in the Construction industry.
Special Conditions of Employment
- Travel may be required
- Additional hours may be required depending on client deadlines.
- Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract – This is a condition of employment and may result in termination for cause if contravened.
