Job Description
Clifton is currently searching for an Accounting Clerk to join our Regina office. As the Accounting Clerk, you will be a crucial member of our Finance Team. Reporting to the Director, Finance & Administration, you will provide support on a variety of financial tasks, including data entry, invoice preparation and processing, processing accounts payables and receivables, assisting with financial reports and records keeping, and other general administrative duties. Responsibilities
Generate client invoices, track accounts receivable, and follow-up on overdue payments.
Process accounts payable and receivable transactions.
Set up and maintain clients/vendors in the accounting system; Review and process vendor invoices, ensuring proper authorization, coding, and adherence to Clifton’s policies.
Maintain organized, accurate, and up-to-date financial files and records.
Collaborate with project managers, internal stakeholders, and external clients/vendors to resolve accounting related inquiries and provide support, as needed.
Ensure compliance with Clifton’s policies, accounting principles, and relevant regulations.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent; Diploma, Certificate, or related coursework in Accounting is preferred.
Prior experience (1-3 years) as an Accounting Clerk or in a similar role an asset.
Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping principles and procedures an asset.
Knowledge of ERP solutions and systems an asset.
Strong organizational skills, including effective management of multiple and conflicting priorities with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, in the context of work-life balance.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite of products; Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of Excel required.
Continued attention to safety and safe work environments, with a strong workplace safety focus.
