Job Description
Noze has digitized the sense of smell. We've done for the nose what the camera did for the eyes and the microphone did for the ears. It took six years and some help from NASA but we did it. Now it's time for us to bring it to the world.
Are you interested in rolling up your sleeves and building our marketing engine from the ground up? In this role, you will build, own and drive the marketing function while working across departments to collaborate on new initiatives. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, you will take the lead on all things marketing to drive awareness and build our partnership pipeline.
People who succeed at Noze have a sense of urgency, a ton of initiative, infinite curiosity, strong internal drive, and an enthusiasm for technology. If you're bursting with fresh ideas and want to join a company in its journey to change the status quo, then this opportunity is for you!
Who You Are
You are a self-starter with a strong entrepreneurial mindset. This role will require you to think both strategically and tactically, and you absolutely must enjoy rolling up your sleeves and getting your hands dirty. This role is not for those who want predictable because no two days will be the same; one day you may be presenting results to the board, the next you may be creating a product video, and the one after that you may be on a plane to Las Vegas for CES.
You will be a powerful storyteller, a relentless ideator, a bold experimenter, and a determined executor. You have an eye for detail and “getting things done” is just the way you operate. Most importantly, you understand that the key to your success is in building great working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
What You Will Do
- As the Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for overall strategy development, branding, corporate identity, and the execution of insights-based marketing programs.
- You will be supported by a hand-picked team of external partners (agencies, freelancers, etc) which you will engage.
- Create and implement processes to measure impact and evaluate effectiveness (ROI) of marketing activities across the funnel.
- Manage all social media platforms (including LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube) and drive content creation.
- Design and create high-quality content to build awareness and educate prospective partners e.g. product videos, landing pages, email campaigns, white papers, blog posts, infographics, etc
- Ensure our website is optimized for inbound lead conversion and all content is SEO optimized to increase traffic.
- Create and execute awareness and lead generation campaigns.
- Identify and vet relevant events and conferences, and manage Noze's participation.
What You Need
- Minimum of 10 years in marketing, most recently as a senior leader with direct reports
- Hands-on experience across different facets of the marketing stack (content marketing, digital marketing, PR, etc)
- Analytical thinking and a proven ability to conceptualize, build, launch and track multiple simultaneous initiatives.
- Spirit of collaboration that comes easy to you with demonstrated experience working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver results.
- Practical experience in unpacking DMUs and leveraging relevant content to create targeted awareness across the various buying roles.
- Track record of launching effective digital campaigns primarily using LinkedIn and SEO.
- Creative thinking with strong opinions about the details of executing high performing marketing initiatives (asset design, copywriting, distribution, etc.).
- Equal comfort and willingness to do things yourself as you are with delegating them out
- Nice to have: experience in a fast-paced startup environment would be an asset.
What We Offer
- The opportunity to join a forward-thinking company surrounded by a collaborative team of innovative thinkers;
- A rewarding career path with diverse opportunities for professional growth;
- A competitive compensation and benefits package including employer paid health and dental benefits for eligible employees;
- A generous learning and development budget to attend conferences, classes and other professional development events;
- A bunch of other perks that involve food, fun and travel.
