Job Summary

• Automate, test, and troubleshoot Container and Virtual Machine based networking services
• Liaise with various internal functions across Equinix and external vendors to certify and validate network platforms and services

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on technical expertise for network and infrastructure automation
• Automate test and validation of networking services based on Containers, Virtual Machines and hardware-based networking devices
• Setup end-to-end test case automation by leveraging available automation tools and vendor APIs from networking devices and traffic generators such as Spirent and Ixia
• Work with the team to identify automation opportunities. Lead hands-on code development and integration effort to achieve end to end automation for test case staging, execution, reporting and other pieces of workflow
• Hands-on involvement in System Integration Testing (SIT) and other certification efforts for networking products
• As an automation lead, promote, encourage, and guide team members towards automation adoption
• Assist other departments with technical queries relating to the resulting design of the product & services

Skills & Experience

• Proficiency in network and infrastructure automation, preferably using Python
• Extensive experience in Kubernetes Cluster and orchestration
• Hands-on experience with network virtualization, SD-WAN and other networking technologies
• Self-starter; works independently and within a team across different countries and time-zones
• Culturally aware and adept at working across multiple geographies
• Able to operate in stressful situations with time-bound work

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience
• Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field preferred
