Why We Need you:
FYidoctors Surrey looking for someone like you to bring your exceptional skills and experience with you and join us as our newest Optometric Assistant.
The Optometric Assistant plays a critical role within FYidoctors and is crucial to our success by delivering world-class service to our patients. You'll often be the first point of contact with the public, so you must bring with you your passion for people and your drive to deliver an exceptional customer experience. With your help, we'll continue to have a positive impact on our current patients' health and well-being, as well as the patients we haven't yet met.
This position is a full-time, permanent role working 30 - 40 hours per week, Mondays to Saturdays.
What will you be doing?
- Greeting our customers and interacting with them face to face, over the phone and by email
- Assisting our customers with eyewear and lens selection, and contact lens orders
- Administering pre-testing services such as Auto Refractions, Optomap, OCT, and NCT
- Manage appointment bookings, prescription printouts and billing and payments
- Administrative tasks, scanning, inventory management, ordering and receiving clinic supplies
- Assisting with keeping the clinic clean and organized
The Successful Candidate
- Ideally, you will have some customer-facing experience, preferably in a retail environment
- Experience in the optical world or knowledge of routine eye care would be beneficial but not essential
- A high level of comfort using technology and computers
- Solid proficiency in MS Office Suite
- A professional and approachable manner and a love of meeting and interacting with people of all ages
You don't need any Optical Industry experience, just a passion for making a difference in people's lives.
