You are part of a dynamic team that accepts open communication, empowerment, innovation, partnership, and a shared focus on customer success.What You'll DoTechnical responsibilities include translating business requirements into functional stories, automating orchestration and deployments for Cloud Native applications on edge and public cloud infrastructure like AWS, simplifying Microservice Software life-cycle management, and providing a single monitoring endpoint for multi-tenant services running in cloud to manage and troubleshoot mass scale distributed 4G/5G on-prem, edge appliances.Develop layered stack of cloud technologies that enable the rapid deployment and seamless service creation using microservices-based applications on Kubernetes (K8s) cluster. Embedded layered security in the infrastructure solution. While working on the above technical solutions, identify gaps between product capabilities and contribute to the architecture to bridge gaps, design features, review code and ensure higher standards of code quality.Significantly influence the design of interfaces between products to ensure interoperability and upgrade/rollback paths. Project responsibilities include working with internal and external teams for SW Design and implementation, test/automation, deployment, and operational support.Who You AreYou design and develop microservices container platform for Cisco Service Provider solutions spanning across Mobility, Automation, Cable, and Subscriber Gateway platforms. Lead and drive design and implementation to create and deliver complete software infrastructure stack, working with the Engineering team, Product Owners, and cross-functional teams. Work effectively with a geographically distributed team. Experienced in creating and leading open-source communities and in integrating the resulting artifacts into carrier-grade products.Our minimum requirements for this role:o Knowledge of Cloud architecture model, Compute stack, Container, Virtualization/Containerization technologies, and Distributed systems. Knowledge of 4G/5G Mobility network is a big plus.o Experience in Kubernetes Services Architecture / Design / Implementation and DevOps using Prometheus, Grafana, and other tools.o Excellent communication skills, both written and oral with a master's degree or Bachelor preferably in Computer Engineering or related fieldso 5+ years of experience in high-level and low-level designing for enterprise applications for scalability, high availability, and geographic redundancy requirements.o Programming language requirements include Python and Golang. Public Cloud experience is a big plus.o Seasoned professional working with fellow senior engineers, product management, senior management, and other cross-functional stakeholders/partners to define technical roadmaps and set strategieso Deliver on-site and remote training workshops, build and publish customer facing content that captures the platform features and deployment optionso Innate ability to lead and mentor engineers globally, be a champion for creative technical trends. Once performance exceeds 100% quota attainment, incentive rates may increase up to five times the standard rate with no cap on incentive compensation. For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target.
